Terms of Service

This terms of service applies if you commission me OUTSIDE of VGen.GENERAL TERMS1. The commissioner receives a digital drawing. No shipping is required.2. I am allowed to refuse your commission if I do not feel comfortable with it.3. Please do not rush me. Depending on the complexity of the commission it can take from 2 weeks to 2 months to finish.4. Delivery is done via E-Mail (file size <25 MB) or a pCloud link to a zip-File of your commission which is only accessible for 1 month. It will contain a watermarked version of your commission and one without it for personal use. I will delete the file in my pCloud after 1 month so make sure to download your commission in time!

SERVICE

PAYMENT1. Payment is via PayPal invoice. So please have your PayPal E-Mail ready since I will send an invoice once a price is decided.2. The currencies I accept are Euro (EUR) and US-Dollar (USD).3. I do not accept crypto currencies.4. Once I receive 50% or 100% of the full commission price as upfront payment I will start the commission.5. If only 50% was paid upfront the remaining 50% must be paid after the sketch is approved and before I finalize your commission. Otherwise, the commission is automatically canceled.COPYRIGHT, CREDITS & USAGE1. The artwork you receive may be used for personal purposes ONLY. Different prices apply to commercial artwork. Refer to the Commercial Use Policy section for more information in that regard.2. You are prohibited from using the artwork in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space.3. You do not hold the right to use the artwork for AI datasets or for AI tools and any present or future inventions in the space.4. I can repost your commission piece on my social media and include it in my portfolio. I will not reproduce the piece for profit as merchandise unless given permission by the commissioner.5. You will receive both an unwatermarked and a watermarked version. If you want to display the artwork online please only upload the watermarked version and credit me! The unwatermarked versions are for private use.6. You are prohibited from (re-)selling the artwork in any form (physically, NFT etc.) for profit.PROCESSThe order of my drawing stages are: Sketch, lineart, flat colors, shading, rendering.1. After a price is agreed on I will send a PayPal invoice to you.2. The commissioner sends 50% of the commission price and I confirm receipt of payment.3. Within 4 weeks after your initial payment you will receive a sketch of your commission.You can ask for 3 major revisions at maximum. Any additional revision exceeding 3 will not be accepted.4. Once the sketch is approved and the remaining commission price is paid I will continue working on your commission to finish it. Major revisions after the approval of the sketch are not possible.5. I will send you a Work in progress (WIP) upon completing the stages flat colors and rendering. Those WIPs are a preview of your commission so they are smaller and are in JPG-Format.6. You can ask me for more WIPs outside the benchmark-WIPs I already provide but please refrain from asking me too frequently, i. e. 2 times a week.7. While reviewing the WIPs you can ask for small corrections.Upon finishing your commission I will show you a preview of the finished piece with the same quality as the WIPs. At this stage you can ask for small corrections.7. I will use Glaze on the final commission piece and the watermarked version.8. When the final preview is approved you will receive an E-Mail with a zip-File of your commission attached to it or a pCloud link to a zip-File of your commission which is only accessible for 1 month. It will contain a watermarked version of your commission and one without it for personal use. I will delete the file in my pCloud after 1 month so make sure to download your commission in time!REFUNDING AND CANCELINGFull refund when you initiate cancellation:
1. … before receiving first sketch: Yes
2. … after receiving first sketch regardless of approval status: No
3. … any time after the sketching phase is done: No
In case I initiate cancellation due to personal reasons: Full refund regardless of the drawing stage your commission is on.COMMUNICATION
Communication can be done via Twitter / Discord / Instagram direct message or E-Mail as well. Please state which one you prefer.
I will reach out to you upon finishing the drawing stages sketch, flat colors and rendering and send a WIP (Work in progress).COMMERCIAL USE POLICYThe licenses for Content and Merchandising are separated from each other and do not include the other.1. Content1.1. The above Terms of Service still apply except that you are allowed to make profit of the artwork. The price of a commercial commission is the total price PLUS 25% of the total commission price, or in short 1.25 times the final price.1.2. You can use the non-watermarked artwork as assets in your streams (profile pictures, banners, overlays, emojis etc.), videos (thumbnails, graphics) or any platform that generates revenue (promotional posts) as part of your branding. Giving credit to me is appreciated.1.3. You do not hold the right to use the artwork for artificial learning programs / AI datasets / AI tools or using the artwork in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency and any present or future inventions in the space.2. Merchandising
2.1. The above Terms of Service still apply except that you are allowed to make profit of the artwork. The price of a commercial commission is the total price PLUS 25% of the total commission price, or in short 1.25 times the final price.2.2. You are allowed to use the artwork to sell on products in mass such as album covers, merch, keychains, stickers etc. Giving credit to me is still appreciated.2.3. You do not hold the right to use the artwork for artificial learning programs / AI datasets / AI tools or using the artwork in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency and any present or future inventions in the space.If you want to use the artwork as part of a branding and create merchandise for profit, BOTH licenses must be chosen.
